Originally, I thought I just wanted the summers off. The equity of the matter is, I just want to make a loss in the lives of bookmans. I have had teachers in my life that have pushed me room beyond even my own expectations of myself, and have had a very vainglorious influence in my life. I have also had the teachers that just legitimate mediocrity, that didnt push the envelope, and those teachers I can honestly say I did not learn anything from. It was one of the influential teachers that prompted my decision to enter the teaching affair. I was in a completely different program of study, heading towards a totally different goal, until one day he weighed at me and said, What ar you doing? This isnt you. You have potential to do so much more, and youll never telescope it doing what you are doing. It was th is statement that made me sit back and realize that something essential to change. It was that something that led me to the Teacher Education Program at Concord. Once I started thinking about the reason that I wanted to be a teacher, I realized how incredibly idealistic it sounded. When we discussed educational philosophies in class, and when we went everywhere the idealist, I thought, that is definitely the philosophy that is geared towards what I want to be and the environment that I want my classroom to have. My goal as furthest as what I want when I enter the teaching profession is to be an effective history teacher.
